Launching August 27 from 5-7:30 PM.

NXT is about each generation discipling the next. As whole disciples of Jesus, we are committed to being invested mentorssomeone who leads like Jesus, training up the next generation of disciples to make whole disciples. What does this look like on Wednesday nights?

  • Kids ages 0-18 engaging in Bible-based, age-appropriate curriculum that instills the marks of a whole disciple from an early age.
  • Parents of these kids connecting with their peers through parent cohorts, groups designed for discipleship through the unique challenges of each season of parenting.
  • Grandparents and other adults (singles, empty nesters, you name it) finding their place in the household of God, whether that means direct discipleship of a younger generation or supporting the discipleship happening on Wednesday nights and beyond.

NXT Kids

Nursery-5th grade

Incorporating resources like Tiny Theologians and New City Catechism among others, NXT Kids will help kids from nursery age through 5th grade grasp important truths about who God is, how he made us, and what he's done for us! The night will include time for:

  • Food with friends
  • Music and dancing
  • Learning a Bible story
  • Games and crafts
  • Scripture memory

NXT Youth

6th-12th grade

6th-12th graders are at a key point in their life–they start hearing more and more outside voices, and it's essential that we continue to build a foundation of unwavering faith and love for God that will ground them as they gain independence and prepare for leaving home. We know your kids' schedules are jam-packed with activities; that's who NXT Youth has a built-in late start so they won't miss the teaching and discussion time even if they have to come late from practice. Their night will include singing together, teaching from the Bible, and small group discussion where they can go deeper in their faith.

*This will replace Sunday night Youth Group.

NXT Parent Cohorts

for parents of kids 0-18

NXT Parent Cohorts are an opportunity to help each other navigate the unique challenges of each season of parenting. Cohorts are designed around life-stage (i.e. parents of teens, new parents, etc.) and give parents a lifeline to grab onto whenever needed. These cohorts will offer intentional relational discipleship, sticking together for the year in order to foster deep connections and real growth.

FAQs

Wednesday nights will be completely FREE for families. We want this program to be accessible for all, which means we want to eliminate as many barriers, including cost, as possible.

We've had several people ask if they can financially support NXT. The best way to support NXT is to give to Parkview at parkviewchurch.org/give. NXT is funded through our annual ministry budget.

Not at all! Wednesday night programming is for anyone. Some of the lessons may be connected to Sunday mornings in some way, especially for kids (0-5th grade), but not to the exclusion of someone dropping in on a Wednesday.

Yes, please register every person in your family who will be attending regularly. Since this is a new endeavor, we would greatly appreciate your help in getting a gauge on demand so that we can adequately plan for meals, volunteers, and facilities.

NXT is for anyone who wants to grow as a whole disciple of Jesus. We particularly have curriculum and structure planned for kids 0-18 and their parents, but even serving on Wednesday nights will help you take your next step toward Jesus. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12, the church is a body, and we need each other to function properly.
