General Overview

Training and sending leaders has long been part of Parkview’s legacy in Iowa City. Each year, the Global Outreach Conference gives us an opportunity to connect with passionate Kingdom leaders who are following God’s call on their life to make whole disciples for the good of all people. Come for all or part of the weekend to celebrate all that God is doing through our Global Workers and find new ways to engage in Global Outreach at Parkview 

This year, we look forward to hearing from Dr. Don Davis, our keynote speaker, on Philippians 2:5-11 

Dr. Don Davis, Former Parkview Member, will be the featured speaker. Dr. Davis is the founder & former Executive Director of The Urban Ministry Institute and now serves as Senior Executive Advisor to the President of World Impact. Don has been involved in urban ministry and missions with World Impact since 1975. He has spent his entire ministry career seeking to raise up a new generation of qualified spiritual leaders, pastors, and church planters who can build up Christ’s church in the most vulnerable and unreached urban communities in America and across the world.

Gather with Global Workers and other Parkview members to pray for the Lord’s Work and Word to go forth throughout the nations 

Global Celebration Banquet
6-8 PM | Central Campus Worship Center

Enjoy a meal and hear from a handful of Global Workers about what God has been doing in and through them across the world 

*Childcare provided for infants-3rd grade with registration by October 28th

Meet Our Keynote Speaker

Dr. Don Davis

Dr. Don Davis is a native of Wichita, Kansas, but was a member at Parkview while he was earning his Ph.D. in Religion (2000, Theology and Ethics) from the University of Iowa School of Religion. He is the Founder and Director of World Impact’s Urban Ministry Institute, a research and training center dedicated to equipping leadership and empowering movements for the urban church, especially among the poor, to advance the Kingdom of God in the city.
