What is 247:?

24:7 is a college/outreach ministry supported by Parkview Church. 24:7 (the event) features live music with the 24:7 band, dynamic worship, a chance to connect with hundreds of university students and young adults, a relevant message, life stories, food, giveaways, and more. Come check it out! There are also small groups, Verve for freshmen and other special events.

What can I expect at a typical 24:7 event?

24:7 is a non-threatening environment where hundreds of college students and young adults gather together each week. The event starts at 9:00 pm and lasts until approximately 10:30 pm, and typically includes a set of live worship songs and a relevant message. There is no pressure to get involved or do anything you don't want to do. We encourage you to come try it out; you choose how much you want to be involved. If you have a schedule conflict, we encourage you to come late or leave early, there's no pressure to be there the entire time. For more information contact Email Scott at 354-5580.

24:7 History

24:7 began in Fall 1999 when Parkview hired Jesse Bradley (Pastor of University and Young Adults) and Zach Nielsen (Music and Worship Assistant). Jesse and Zach wanted to find a way to reach young people in Iowa City with the love of Christ. Jesse had seen successful university and young adult ministries in Texas and California, and Zach had been part of music ministries at the University of Northern Iowa. Jesse and Zach have the same hope and prayer: that God would spark a revival at the University of Iowa. The first 24:7 event was held in September of 1999 and continued monthly. It became a weekly event in January 2000 and by the grace of God it has continued to grow.
